Corroflon vs standard corrugated PTFE hose

Corroflon is a PTFE hose designed for food, pharmaceutical and chemical applications. Supplied as a complete hose assembly with fittings.

  • Hose material: spirally corrugated PTFE (teflon)
  • Reinforcement: AISI 304 steel wire helix, AISI 304 steel braid (SS version), polypropylene braid (PB version)
  • Working temp.: from -70°C to +260°C (SS version), from -30°C to +100°C (PB version)
  • Working pressure: depends on temperature.

  • Special construction ensures process cleanliness

    Spirally corrugated hose profile design with a wide angle of corrugations 0°-120° facilitates cleaning process and enhances self-cleaning properties.

  • Kink resistance and flexibility for easier hose handling

    Stainless steel wire wound between the corrugations provides kink resistance, but at the same time maintains flexibility necessary for easy hose handling.

  • Vacuum resistance at high temperatures

    Corroflon hoses meet the requirements of: FDA 21 CFR 177.1550, FDA 21 CFR 178.3297 (antistatic version), USP Class VI, (EC) No 1935/2004, (EU) No 10/2011, (EC) No 2023/2006, EN16643:2016. These standards confirm that Corroflon PTFE hoses are suitable for application in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry.

  • PTFE lined fittings for full flow of medium

    Fittings (type: SMS, DIN 11851, Camlock, Triclamp, flanges) can be lined with PTFE layer to ensure full flow along the entire length of the hose assembly. The liner applied in the fittings eliminates fluid entrapment areas, where the particles of the conveyed medium may accumulate. Besides, the liner isolates the fitting material when chemically aggressive media are conveyed.

  • Electrical continuity

    Spirally wound SS wire is welded directly to the fittings thus ensuring electrical continuity of the hose assembly.

Corroflon antistatic hose, with PTFE flared Triclamp connectors (with PTFE liner flared out on the sealing face).

Corroflon GP SS non-flared with scuff rings, DRC Black cover protecting against excessive bending and DIP Pipe with mesh filter designed for suction of chemicals.

Corroflon SP PB of special profile design, in polypropylene braid with DIN11851 flared connectors. This version of the hose assembly is suitable for use with strain gauges as it compensates for vibrations better.
