UHP cleaning
Ultra High Pressure cleaning – general information
Equipment designed for cleaning with ultra high pressure water, at 700 ÷ 3000 bar (WATERBLASTING): UHP guns, foot-controlled valves for the guns, Monro Jet®, Tango HD-1®, ENZ SC 1500® special rotating nozzles, UC ENZ® heat exchanger cleaning nozzles, UR and KBR ENZ® nozzles, Bulldog®UHP ENZ® pipeline cleaning nozzles, MVT® sapphire screw-in and insert nozzles.
UHP cleaning (waterblasting ) is growing in popularity as it is competitive in terms of speed compared to other cleaning methods. A set of devices is used for cleaning and it includes:
- main unit (water blasting pump) fed by water from the water network;
- high pressure flexible hose assembly (hose with fittings) either rubber WATERBLAST or thermoplastic e.g. SPIR STAR;
- control valve and / or gun;
- nozzle or head;
In this configuration, UHP equipment is used for cleaning heat exchanger tubes, cleaning surfaces (stripping off tarnish, rust, paint, etc.), cleaning pipelines, washing flat surfaces, cutting and crushing concrete and other similar applications. In some applications, a special abrasive is fed into the water jet before the nozzle (e.g. cutting).
