Solenoid Valves

In an industrial solenoid valve (electromagnetic valves), electric current flows through a solenoid coil (electromagnet) and forces the valve to open or close (2-way valves) or switches the flow between two ports (3-way valves). According to the type of operation, the solenoid valves can be direct acting solenoid valves (the force produced by electric current directly opens or closes the valve) and indirect acting/ pilot operated solenoid valves (the force produced by electric current opens or closes the pilot seat, the flow is released through this seat and opens or closes the main valve).

These valves are general-purpose solenoid valves for fluids and gases. The body is made of brass, moveable plunger and spring of stainless steel, plunger tube of stainless steel or brass. These solenoid valves have two functions and different connection combinations: 2/2NC, 2/2NO, 3/2NC, 3/2NO (2/2 – two connections and two valve positions, 3/2 – three connections and two valve positions, NC – normally closed – no current in the coil, NO – normally open). As far as the type of operation is concerned, the range can be divided into direct acting poppet solenoid valves, direct acting membrane solenoid valves, indirect acting membrane solenoid valves. Valve nominal diameters range from DN1,5 to DN25, BSP female thread end connections from 1/8″ to 1″, working pressure: up to 40 bar (smaller valves DN1,5 – DN5), up to 25 bar (bigger valves DN10 – DN25). The type of sealing material (NBR, Viton, EPDM) must be matched with the medium flowing through. The solenoids for the solenoid valves (assembly diameters 10 and 13 mm, voltage 12V, 24V, 110V, 220V) and connectors to be ordered separately.

The solenoid valves are used in numerous applications in all sectors of industry. The solenoid valves in our range can be used for: air, inert gases, hot and cold water, steam (up to 2,5 bar), mineral oils, petrol, heating oil, etc. When selecting the valve, consider the following: medium, its temperature, viscosity, ambient temperature, flow rate, maximum working pressure, differential pressure (pressure difference when the valve is closed).
