Plastic quick release couplings – general information

CPC quick release plastic couplings are designed for general industry, biopharmaceutical, medical, chemical, food and packaging application. A version with an automatic shut-off valve prevents leaks and thus increases safety of its operator. A wide choice of materials enables selection of the quick release coupling for almost any application. One hand operation with an audible click confirming secure connection. A variety of coupling versions allows attachment to threaded connection, in-line, hose systems, panel mounting, etc. A product line of CPC couplings makes a total of over 4000 items. They are available as individual male or female parts with different connections or as ready-to-use sets to be fit into a hose (so called „Line-In”).

It is recommended to use CPC quick release couplings with hoses listed in TYGON® HOSES section.

  • SMC DN 2,4: miniature, twist-to-connect, in acetal, polypropylene and polycarbon. Application: printing inks, photographic technology, measurement of blood pressure, detection of particles, medicine, etc.
  • PMC DN 3,2: with a push button, in acetal and polypropylene. Application: printing inks, electroplating, chemical analysers, cleaning devices, medicine;
  • PLC DN 6,3: with a push button, in acetal and polypropylene. The most popular of all CPC couplings – thousands of applications: for liquid foodstuffs and beverages, chemicals, deionised water, industrial automatic machines, cleaning devices;
  • HFC DN 9,9, with a push button, in polypropylene and polysulphone. PLC coupling is a substitute for the traditional quick release couplings with a ball locking mechanism. Widely used for air, water and chemicals e.g. battery filling systems, antifreeze systems, photographic chemicals, medicine. A version in black polysulphone is UV radiation resistant.
  • MPC DN 7,4, with a push button, in polycarbon, polysulphone and ABS. No valves – free flow. For medical applications. Meets the biocompatibility requirements of USP Class VI, ADCF – free of materials of animal origin. Available: SaniQuik plugs with Triclover flanges, in 316 steel;
  • MPX DN 12,7, with a push button, in polycarbon and polysulphone. No valves – free flow. For medical applications. Meets the biocompatibility requirements of USP Class VI, ADCF – free of materials of animal origin. Available: SaniQuik plugs with Triclover flanges, in 316 steel;
  • CQG 06 DN 15, with a push button, in virgin, pure polypropylene. Double shut-off and spill free. For High Purity chemical applications. Used in laboratories and in high purity and hazardous fluids chemical installations.

FAQ – plastic quick release couplings:

Where are CPC plastic industrial quick release couplings used?2023-08-21T15:16:12+02:00

Industrial quick release couplings are used when lines must be quickly disconnected or connected. They are designed for general manufacturing market, for biopharma, medical, chemical, food and packaging markets.

What are the features of CPC industrial quick release couplings?2023-08-21T15:17:01+02:00

Since the couplings come in a great number of end connections, they can be attached to threaded, pipe stub, hose, bulkhead, etc. system connections. Their main advantages include low weight and corrosion resistance.

A wide range of material versions offer solutions to virtually any operating conditions. The design allows easy, one-handed operation, and the characteristic click confirms that the connection has been completed successfully. The entire range of these couplings comprises more than 4000 products. Some couplings, those with shut-off valves, prevent spills, increasing user safety.

They are available as separate male or female parts with different end connections, and as ready-made sets to be inserted into the hose (In-Line couplings).

What materials are CPC plastic quick release couplings made of?2023-08-21T15:17:42+02:00

CPC industrial plastic quick release couplings are typically made of acetal, polypropylene, polysulfone and polycarbonate.
