Fittings for high pressure gas hoses have specific types of connection adjusted to match the valves of gas cylinders, made according to EN ISO 10297, DIN 477 and other standards. The standards precisely define numerous types of connections, their dimensions, threads and assign them to particular gases. For flammable gases, left-hand thread fittings are basically used. The fittings must be made of materials resistant to the corrosive effect of the gas.
A standard fitting is made of AISI 304 stainless steel (nut made of brass) and its hose part (tail) is adjusted to match the type and size of the hose (PTFE, steel) it is to be mounted to. Other types of fitting connections are supplied to order. They are compliant with the customer’s specifications or standards, made of zinc-plated carbon steel, AISI 316 stainless steel or other materials, angle fittings.
