Statement of the President of the Board

Concerns: Operational activity of Tubes International Sp. z o.o. in response to coronavirus outbreak.

In order to maintain the highest standard of services provided by Tubes International Sp. z o.o., the Board of the company is closely monitoring and reviewing potential risks related to the possible spread of the coronavirus.

Conscious of the situation, we are taking actions to safeguard the supply chain and to provide our services. Because the scale of this phenomenon is almost worldwide, we may expect different logistics and production perturbation or disruption in timely delivery of shipments. As for the above, our organisation has taken many proactive steps to secure the availability of goods for our Customers. Moreover, we are doing everything we can to obtain accurate knowledge on precautions and to build the awareness of the risk associated with the virus among our employees, suppliers and business partners.

The precautionary measures we have taken include:

  • Suspension of all international and domestic visits within our organisation (from the beginning of February).
  • Each employee returning from a trip abroad (to coronavirus high-risk countries) is in 2-week quarantine (this action has been imposed from the middle of February).
  • We have arranged and we are arranging to place the stock across different locations (warehouses of our branches) to avoid potential blockage of the stock flow.
  • According to WHO guidelines concerning coronavirus lifespan on different materials, we have introduced an additional, 5-day in total, quarantine for goods entering our warehouses from cross-border directions.
  • We have cancelled sales visits to our Customers but we are prepared and ready to contact via electronic devices.
  • In our retail Stores we have marked special zones to serve our Customers at a safe distance.
  • To mitigate the risk of exposure we have introduced an option of homeworking for our employees.
  • We have implemented all recommended standards for the protection of health and personal hygiene of our employees and their workplace, including such actions as providing places for sanitation and disinfection.
  • We are not taking part in any public events, conferences, training course, fairs, we are replacing all key business meetings with video conferencing.
  • We are constantly monitoring and adjusting our internal policy to the official guidelines of authorised bodies.
  • What is most important, as a trusted partner, we are still providing the services to our Customers at our usual, top level, securing both safe working conditions and availability of employees.

We are introducing all necessary protective measures, in compliance with local authority guidelines, which aim to control and minimise the risk to health and safety of our employees and Customers attended by us. At the same time, we want to emphasise that the health, safety and well-being of our employees, Customers and suppliers is our top priority.

If possible, we suggest that our Customers use electronic means of communication  tubes@tubes-international.com as frequent as possible in terms of business contacts with our branches.

We are in touch with our key partners and suppliers in order to ensure undisturbed supply processes.  We shall keep you informed on any difficulties.

At the same time, we would like to ask you for any sort of business assessment that may help us in managing, planning and securing the accurate supply chain for the present and in the future.
