Calorimetric flow meter for air and gases, type EW850
Calorimetric air or nitrogen flow meter in the installation, optionally for other gases. Available in two pressure ranges up to 16 bar and up to 40 bar. The principle of calorimetric measurement is based on cooling an electrically heated sensor by the flowing air. The cooling of the sensor is directly dependent on the mass flow of air, thus it does not require compensation for pressure and temperature. The digital meter measures the instantaneous flow rate and counts the total consumption of compressed air using pulses. This is displayed on the screen, and all measurements can be transmitted via a Modbus RTU standard connection. The flow meter can be quickly and easily disassembled without removing the entire measuring section from the installation for cleaning or calibration. The flow meter blind plug ensures continuous use of the line during cleaning. A bypass line for the measuring section is not required. The EW 850 flow meter, due to its compact design, can be used to measure the flow and consumption of air in all installation locations from the compressor to the smallest devices and tools. The measurement range should be appropriately selected according to the flow in the installation. Due to the possibility of measurement errors, it is necessary to avoid condensation on the sensor element or moisture in the transmitted medium. Do not exceed the operating ranges of the flow meter! When selecting a flow meter for gases other than air or nitrogen, please contact Tubes International. Working pressure: up to 16 bar or up to 40 bar. Material: stainless steel AISI 304 (measuring section, for the 16 bar version), stainless steel AISI 316 (measuring section, for the 40 bar version), polycarbonate (housing). Medium: air, nitrogen (option – other gases). Flow unit: m³/h, l/min. Accuracy: ± 1.5% of the measured value, ± 0.3% of full scale. Analog output: 4 ÷ 20 mA, < 500 Ω. Pulse output: 1 pulse per m³ or liter, galvanically isolated. Digital output: RS485, Modbus RTU. Operating temperature: -30°C ÷ +80°C.
