Precision pipes
Seamless precision tubes – general information
Made of AISI 316/316L stainless steel, cold-drawn, annealed. Designed for high pressure systems of fluids and gases, high pressure hydraulics, instrumentation systems. The precise, tight-tolerance outer diameter and wall thickness, as well as controlled mechanical and technological properties of the material (certificate 3.1 acc. to EN-10204) allow for their application in the most critical systems. They are used as straight or bent sections that can be connected by many different stainless steel tube connectors – from standard hydraulic cutting ring connectors (DIN 2353), JIC connectors ( flared pipes ā 37Ā° cone), to twin-ferrule LET-LOKĀ® fittings intended for instrumentation. They can be joined by welding. Tube hardness < 90 HRB. Outer diameter tolerance for imperial tubes (ASā¢A269: Ā±0,005ā (Ā±0,127 mm)), wall thickness tolerance for imperial tubes (ASā¢A269: Ā±15% to 1/2ā, from 1/2ā and bigger: Ā±10%). Metric tube tolerance acc. to EN ISO 1127 D4T3 or D4T4.
Tube material and dimensions selection must consider:
- desired flow rate of the medium (inner diameter);
- corrosion resistance (material);
- tube joining method, connectors used in the system:
- resistance to working pressure and other loads (material, outer diameter and tube wall thickness).
