High-pressure valves are essential components of hydraulic systems, responsible for transmitting energy (in the form of fluid flow) from the source (pump) to the actuator (hydraulic cylinder or motor). Based on their function within the system, valves are divided into directional control valves, pressure control valves, and flow control valves. Regarding installation method, valves are categorized into line-mounted valves (connected to other system elements via hoses or pipes) and manifold-mounted valves (equipped with manifold connections rather than threaded ports). The standard material used for high-pressure valves is galvanized carbon steel with NBR seals (a suitable combination for typical hydraulic systems using hydraulic oil as working fluid). Tubes International also offers hydraulic valves made of brass or stainless steel, which can be utilized in general industrial high-pressure systems.
