What is the required control signal pressure X to open the flow A1 â A in the Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS?

The required control signal pressure X to open the flow A1 â A in the Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS is: X = k · pA1 where: - k = control coefficient (dimensionless) - pA1 = pressure on the A1 side Thus the control signal must equal the control coefficient multiplied by the A1-side pressure. (Free flow A â A1 opens at 0.5 bar without X.)

How does the control coefficient affect the required X pressure to open flow A1 â A in the Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS?

The required X pressure to open flow A1 â A in the Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS equals the control coefficient multiplied by the pressure present on the A1 side. Thus: X_required = control_coefficient à P_A1. A higher control coefficient increases the X pressure needed for a given A1 pressure; a lower coefficient reduces the required X. The valveâs standard free-flow opening (A â A1) is 0.5 bar and does not affect the A1 â A controlled opening calculation.

Can Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS open A1 â A without applying control signal X?

No. Controlled check valve allowing free flow of hydraulic fluid, type FPS does not allow free flow from A1 â A without applying control signal X. According to the description, free flow is permitted only in direction A â A1 (opening pressure 0.5 bar). Flow from A1 â A opens only when the pressure control signal X is applied; the required X pressure equals the control coefficient multiplied by the pressure on the A1 side. Without that control signal, the reverse flow remains closed.

Additional information

Material	CS – steel (cast iron)

The FPS valve enables free flow of hydraulic fluid in one direction (A → A1) and opening of fluid flow in the opposite direction (A1 → A) provided that a pressure control signal “X” is applied. standard pressure opening flow free (A → A1) 0.5 bar. The required pressure of the control signal “X” for opening flow in the opposite direction (A1 → A) is determined by the product of the actuation coefficient and the pressure on the A1 side. Material: steel galvanized (body), hardened steel (stem). Sealing: NBR. Operating temperature: from -20°C to +100°C.
