CHICAGO® fire apparatus hose
Strong, flexible water hose designed for winding on reels. Intended for use in high-pressure firefighting equipment and fire trucks (booster hose). The inner layer is resistant to extinguishing agents and foaming agents. Reinforcement made of a thick layer of high-strength cord. The outer layer is weather-resistant. The CHICAGO EN hose differs from the basic version of the CHICAGO hose by being manufactured in accordance with standard EN 1947: 2014 (type C, class 1, category 2), while the CHICAGO EN GL is manufactured in accordance with EN 1947 but features a luminescent outer layer, allowing for easy visibility in darkness or smoke. Special versions of the hose compliant with standards ASTM C-542 and BS 3169 are also available upon request. Standard roll length: 60 m (120 m upon confirmation for the basic version of the hose). Inner layer: black EPDM rubber. Reinforcement: synthetic cord. Outer layer: black EPDM rubber (yellow luminescent synthetic rubber – GL version). Working pressure: 40 bar. Operating temperature: from -40°C to +100°C, from -20°C to +60°C (EN 1947).
