Strong and flexible suction and discharge hose made entirely of abrasion-resistant polyurethane with high resistance to fats and oils. The hose is phthalate-free and can be used in the food industry for the transfer of liquid and dry food substances. This includes: – in particular, food fats and oils, e.g., olive oil (simulant D2; up to +40°C and 30 min); – milk and its derivatives, dairy beverages (simulant D1, up to +40°C and 30 min); – hydrated, acidic food, alcohol up to 20%, and dry food (simulants A, B, C, E; up to +70°C and 1 h). In applications not involving direct contact with food (in industry, construction, agriculture), it can be used for water, light chemicals, and other fat-based liquids as well as industrial oils (chemical resistance must be considered). Also used for air, vacuum transfer of dust, powders, granules, and other abrasive bulk materials (abrasiveness and potential static electricity issues must be considered). The very smooth inner surface reduces transmission losses and ensures ease of cleaning. The transparent wall allows for visual flow monitoring. Reinforcement with a dense steel wire spiral provides very good resistance to vacuum and hose collapse. The construction of the hose from polyurethane compared to similar PVC hoses results in significantly greater abrasion resistance, higher strength (working pressure and vacuum), and a wider temperature range with slightly less flexibility. The ARMORVIN TOTAL PU OIL TPHF hose complies with European regulations 1935/2004/EC, 1895/2005/EC, and 10/2011/EU (simulants A, B, C, D1, D2, E), 2023/2006/EC (GMP), and American FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (d). Suitable for temporary contact with food during the transfer of food substances – under the conditions specified in the manufacturer’s declaration of conformity (available from Tubes International). Hose material: transparent polyurethane. Reinforcement: galvanized steel spiral. Working pressure for a temperature of 20°C: from 3 bar to 7 bar – depending on the hose diameter. Operating temperature: from -40°C to +90°C, medium temperature, working pressure dependent on temperature. As the operating temperature increases, the working pressure value of the hose decreases.
