Does the TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap prevent contamination and protect connectors during storage and transport?

Yes. The TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap protects connectors from contamination during storage and transport by sealing the connector face and blocking ingress of impurities that could damage components. Made of PVC or EBA and available in blue or black, the TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap provides a simple, durable barrier to keep contaminants out and preserve connector integrity.

How does the TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap (PVC/EBA) protect against dust and liquid ingress during handling?

The TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap (PVC/EBA) prevents dust and liquid ingress during handling by providing a tight, form-fitting seal over the connector face. Made from durable PVC or EBA, the plug cap covers the mating surfaces and ports, blocking contaminants and moisture that could damage components or enter the hydraulic system. Its snug fit and resilient material absorb minor impacts and abrasions during handling, maintaining protection until the connector is ready for use. Available in blue or black, the TEMA STANDARD plug cap is a simple, effective barrier against contamination.

Can TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap (PVC/EBA) withstand harsh outdoor conditions during storage?

TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap (PVC/EBA) offers basic protection against contamination, shielding connectors from dust, dirt and accidental ingress of impurities during storage. Both PVC and EBA materials provide moisture resistance and a degree of chemical inertia, making these caps suitable for general indoor and short- to medium-term outdoor storage. However, for prolonged exposure to harsh outdoor conditionsâdirect sunlight (UV), extreme temperatures, heavy rain, snow, salt spray or prolonged mechanical abrasionâstandard PVC or EBA caps have limitations. PVC can become brittle, crack or degrade under long-term UV and temperature cycling. EBA (ethyleneâbutyl acrylate or similar elastomeric blends) generally performs better than plain PVC in flexibility and weathering, but still may age, harden or lose sealing performance after extended UV and ozone exposure or in very aggressive environments (marine/salty, chemical atmospheres). Recommendation: - For short-term outdoor storage in mild conditions, TEMA STANDARD hydraulic quick-connector plug cap (PVC/EBA) is acceptable. - For long-term outdoor exposure or in severe environments, consider additional protection (UV-resistant covers, sheltered storage, corrosion-inhibiting treatments) or use caps specifically rated for outdoor/UV/salt-spray resistance. Inspect caps and connectors periodically for signs of degradation (cracking, hardening, loss of fit) and replace if protection is compromised.
