Flexible, highly flexible hose for the transmission of gasoline and diesel fuel, fire-resistant, for small vessels – recreational boats up to 24 m in length. Hose with a working pressure of 10 bar, produced using a core method. Designed for fuel installations of stationary engines on ships, motorboats, yachts, etc. Suitable for unleaded gasoline, gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (E10 gasoline), diesel fuel, and diesel fuel with 10% FAME esters (B10 – biodiesel). Compliant with ISO 7840 type A1 (fire-resistant, fuel vapor permeability less than or equal to 100 g/m²/24 h), compliant with directive 94/25/EC, certified by RINA, compliant with SAE 1527, USCG type A1. Inner layer made of black, smooth synthetic rubber, resistant to oils and fuels with up to 50% aromatic hydrocarbon content. Reinforced with layers of synthetic cord, and for the POSEIDON LL hose, additionally with a steel spiral. Outer layer made of black, self-extinguishing synthetic rubber, resistant to oil and weather conditions (fire resistance: ISO 7840 Annex A: hose filled with fuel should withstand flame for 2.5 min). POSEIDON: The POSEIDON hose is a soft pressure hose without reinforcement with a steel spiral. The manufacturer recommends installing POSEIDON hoses with a diameter of over 19 mm in straight sections or with a gentle (large) bend radius. The hose is particularly used in the fuel tank filling installation of boats. POSEIDON hose with smaller diameters of 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, and 19 mm, with a working pressure of 10 bar, is available on special order. POSEIDON LL: The POSEIDON LL hose additionally has reinforcement with a steel spiral, providing resistance to vacuum and kinking. The hose is very flexible, with a minimum bend radius corresponding to just three times the inner diameter and can be easily installed in tight spaces of the boat’s engine compartment.
