PVC hose for food substances reinforced with steel wire spiral SPIRE ACIER
Lightweight, highly flexible suction and discharge hose designed for the transfer of water, juices, beverages, and other food products at temperatures up to +40°C. The absence of phthalates in the hose material makes it suitable for the transfer of milk and its derivatives, as well as alcohols with concentrations up to 50% and temperatures up to +40°C. Not recommended for oils and fatty food substances. Reinforcement with a steel wire spiral embedded in a soft PVC wall provides good resistance to vacuum and hose collapse. The smooth inner wall reduces flow losses and ensures ease of cleaning. The transparent wall resistant to UV radiation allows for easy visual monitoring of flow. In applications not involving direct contact with food (in industry, construction, agriculture), it can be used: 1) for light chemicals, water, sludges, and wastewater, other liquids (without fats, oils, and hydrocarbons); 2) for air, vacuum transfer of dust, powders, granules, and other lightly abrasive bulk materials (non-fatty). Abrasiveness and potential static electricity issues should be considered. As a hose reinforced only with a steel spiral (without a braid), it exhibits some elongation under pressure, which should be taken into account in applications, especially at temperatures above +40°C. Standards and requirements: Food industry, contact with food: compliant with European regulations 1935/2004/EC and 10/2011/EU (simulants A, B, C, and D1), 2023/2006/EC (GMP). Hose material: transparent PVC. Reinforcement: galvanized steel spiral. Working pressure: from 2 bar to 12 bar, depending on the hose diameter. Vacuum: 0.9 bar. Operating temperature: from -15°C to +60°C.
