Antistatic PTFE Hose Black, Smooth-Walled, Chemical Resistant, FDA Compliant, Flame Retardant, -200°C to +260°C, 5.5–12 bar, EN12115 Certified
Light smooth-walled PTFE hose with antistatic properties and excellent chemical resistance. The conductivity and dissipation of electric charges are achieved by the addition of up to 2.5% carbon black – PTFE AS. This allows for a reduction in the resistance of the hose material and meets the requirements of the EN12115 standard, which requires resistance between the ends of the hose to be less than 106 Ω/m. The hose is particularly intended for aggressive chemically non-conductive substances, such as organic solvents, whose flow in a standard Teflon hose can cause the accumulation of electric charges and associated hazards. High purity and distribution of the carbon additive in PTFE ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR 178.3297 regarding materials approved for temporary contact with food. Flame retardant (UL94 V-0) and with a high oxygen index (LOI). The use of high-quality plug couplings is possible. Safety factor n=4:1. The burst and working pressure of the hose decreases at operating temperatures above 20°C and is dependent on its height. Material: antistatic PTFE (Teflon), black. Shore hardness (D): 60. Working pressure: from 5.5 to 12 bar. Operating temperature: from -200°C to +260°C.
