Yes. The FLOWSAFE float is suitable for both pressure hoses (without a spiral) and suction-pressure hoses (with a steel spiral) in sizes 3", 4", and 5". It is secured with stainless steel clamps placed in the float grooves. For pressure hoses, a special steel hose must also be used to attach the FLOWSAFE float and prevent displacement when the hose is handled while not under pressure. The FLOWSAFE float is flexible, unsinkable, nonâabsorbent (100% closed pores), UV resistant, does not shrink or deform, and is made of BacellÂ® EVA foam (load capacity 16 kg, weight 2 kg, volume 18 dcmÂ³).

How does the FLOWSAFE float attach securely to pressure hoses to prevent displacement during handling?

The FLOWSAFE float is secured to pressure hoses using stainless steel clamps set into the floatâs grooves. For pressure hoses specifically, a special steel hose (protective steel sleeve) is fitted under the float and attached to the hose; this steel element prevents the FLOWSAFE float from sliding off during handling when the hose is not pressurized. The floatâs groove-and-clamp system combined with the steel hose attachment ensures a firm, durable connection.

Is the FLOWSAFE float resistant to UV and seawater corrosion over long-term use?

Yes. The FLOWSAFE float is made from BacellÂ® EVA foam that is described as UV resistant, unsinkable and nonâabsorbent (100% closed cells), and it does not shrink or deform. These properties make it resistant to longâterm UV exposure and to water ingress and corrosion effects typical in marine and seawater environments. Additionally, stainless steel clamps are used for securing the float, and for pressure hoses a special steel hose attachment is recommended to prevent displacement during handling. Together, the materials and design provide longâterm durability against UV and seawater corrosion.
