Description: Hyperline SB PTFE hose with an inner diameter of 13 mm connects a steam generator to a tyre retreading press. The hose is assembled with JIC ¾” UNF female thread connector at one end and ½” BSPT male thread fitting at the other end. The fittings are crimped with ferrules as this is the only correct way to assemble fittings on PTFE steam hoses. In this application, carbon steel fittings are used. To protect the operator against burns, the hose assembly is provided with THERMOSLEEVE thermal shield.
PTFE hose assemblies and steel hose assemblies used for steam transfer can be installed in stationary machinery and equipment. In all other cases, consider using a rubber hose assembly with end connections (fittings) mounted with safety clamps designed specifically for steam applications.
