Is Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN antistatic and certified for use in explosive atmospheres?

Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN Format: Yes. According to the provided description, the hose is antistatic and has a certificate confirming compliance with safety requirements in explosion hazard zones, so it is certified for use in explosive atmospheres.

Does the Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN maintain flame resistance and non-toxicity of the outer layer under prolonged high-temperature exposure?

Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN: Yes. The hose is specified as having a flame-resistant, antistatic, non-toxic outer layer and holds a certificate for use in explosion-hazard zones. Its rated continuous operating temperature range is â40°C to +100°C, with short-term tolerance up to +120°C. Within this specified temperature range (and temporarily up to +120°C), the outer layer retains its flame-resistant and non-toxic properties as certified. Continuous exposure above these limits may degrade materials and compromise those properties, and such conditions would void the certified performance.

Can Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN be used safely in underground explosive atmospheres with spark-prone equipment?

Yes. Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN can be used safely in underground explosive atmospheres with spark-prone equipment, provided installation and maintenance follow applicable regulations and the certificate conditions. Why: - The hose is described as antistatic, which means it is designed to dissipate electrostatic charges and prevent charge buildup that could cause sparks. - It has a certificate confirming compliance with safety requirements in explosion hazard zones, indicating it meets relevant safety standards for such environments. - The construction (inner black synthetic rubber, double steel braid reinforcement, flame-resistant outer layer) supports safe hydraulic operation and reduced ignition risk. - Operating range (working pressure 90â400 bar, temperature â40°C to +100°C, temporarily up to +120°C) is suitable for typical mining conditions; ensure pressure and temperature in your application stay within these limits. Precautions: - Verify the certificateâs scope matches your specific zone classification (e.g., Zone 0/1/2 or Zone 20/21/22) and local/explosive-atmosphere standards. - Ensure proper bonding/earthing of the hose and associated equipment to maintain antistatic performance. - Inspect for damage, contamination, or wear that could compromise antistatic or flame-resistant properties. - Follow manufacturer installation, inspection, and replacement intervals. - Confirm compatibility with transmitted fluids and fittings. Conclusion: Mining hydraulic hose EN 853 2SN is suitable for use in explosive underground atmospheres when used within its specified pressure/temperature limits, correctly earthed, and compliant with the certificate and applicable regulations.
