The portable FINN-POWER P16BAT crimping machine with battery drive is designed for repairs in the field, right where the breakdown occurs. The 18 V battery power supply makes it possible to work in locations with no access to mains electricity. The machine is simple in design and easy to operate — intended for repair workshops, service trucks and service points.

The power unit is connected to the crimping head by a 2 m flexible hose. Crimping is triggered by a hand control on a 3 m cable, which allows crimping in hard-to-reach places. The low weight of the modules — crimping head 21 kg, power unit 13 kg — makes it easy to transport the machine to any location.

The crimping diameter range is up to 45 mm with a maximum crimping force of 95 T (955 kN). The machine works with type 16 dies, also used in the other FINN-POWER P16 service crimping machines. A single charge of the 6 Ah battery is enough for 30–50 crimps.

The machine has a two-module design:

  1. Crimping head: 21 kg, 228 × 197 × 333 mm
  2. Power unit: 13 kg, 398 × 232 × 285 mm
  3. 2 m flexible connecting hose
  4. Hand control on a 3 m cable

Separating the crimping head from the power unit makes it possible to place the head directly at the machine being repaired and keep the power unit outside the working area.

Optional equipment:

A 18 V / 6 Ah lithium-ion battery and a 230 V AC mains charger with a Schuko plug have to be ordered separately.
