VOLGA FRA-ABR® cement, sand, gravel transfer hose
Very strong, thick suction-discharge hose designed for the transport of a wide range of wet and dry abrasive substances. The thick inner layer is smooth, antistatic, and abrasion-resistant (70 mm³ according to ISO 4649, formerly DIN 53516). Built-in copper wire that, when grounded (or connected to a grounded end), dissipates electric charges. The outer layer is corrugated, weather-resistant, and ozone-resistant. The hose is intended for the transport of abrasive substances mixed with water as well as dry materials: cement, sand, gravel, seeds, etc. Suitable for heavy-duty applications. It can be bent to a relatively small bending radius, but its deflection requires considerable force. It can also be easily cut into sections directly at the place of use and fitted with special PN10 flange fittings (applied to the outer surface of the hose). Used in many applications, e.g., for the transshipment of bulk materials in ports, for the transport of excavated material in mining, in the chemical industry, in construction during demolition work, for suction and transport of water and sludge in dewatering operations, in gravel and sand pits, in dredging and reclamation work. Installation: the hose is designed for installation using the VOLGA FRA system – aluminum half-flanges PN10 applied externally to the hose. Inner layer: black NR/SBR rubber. Reinforcement: synthetic cord, steel spiral. Outer layer: black EPDM rubber. Working pressure: 10 bar. Vacuum: 0.9 bar. Operating temperature: from -40°C to +70°C.
