Can the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black, be used on all CEJN quick couplings to protect against contamination and ingress?

No . the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black is specifically designed for CEJN quick coupling series X64 and X65. It protects those connections from contamination and ingress, but it is not guaranteed to fit or provide proper protection on all CEJN quick couplings. To ensure correct sealing and protection, use the plug cap with the matching X64 or X65 couplings or verify compatibility with the specific coupling series before use.

Is the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black, compatible with non-CEJN couplings for contamination protection?

No - the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black is designed specifically for CEJN quick coupling series X64 and X65. It may not fit non-CEJN couplings properly, so compatibility for contamination protection with other brands or series is not guaranteed. Use matching caps sized for the specific non-CEJN couplings to ensure proper sealing and protection.

Does the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black, resist oils and solvents commonly found in hydraulic systems?

CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black is made of PVC and designed to protect connections from contamination and ingress of impurities. Standard PVC offers limited resistance to many oils and solvents commonly found in hydraulic systems; prolonged exposure to aggressive hydraulic oils, mineral spirits, ketones, or strong solvents can cause swelling, softening or degradation of PVC, reducing its protective properties. Therefore, while the CEJN X64 and X65 PVC quick connector plug cap, black will provide shortâterm protection against dust and moisture, it should not be relied upon for longâterm chemical resistance against many hydraulic oils and strong solvents. For applications with frequent or prolonged exposure to hydraulic fluids or aggressive solvents, choose a cap made of a chemically resistant material (e.g., nitrile, FKM, PTFE, or a specified oilâresistant elastomer) or consult CEJN for a compatible alternative.
