Is the AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y compatible with standard crimping sleeves for hydraulic and industrial hoses?

Yes. The AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y Format is compatible with standard crimping sleeves for hydraulic and industrial hoses. It is a standard hydraulic end (type Z) with an external UNF thread and a 74° cone sealing surface (AGJ), and it is specifically designed for crimping into hydraulic and industrial hoses using a crimping sleeve appropriate for the hose type. Material: carbon steel, galvanized.

Does the AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y require a specific crimping sleeve diameter or profile?

AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y Format does not specify a single universal crimping sleeve diameter or profile in the provided description. It is designed for crimping in hydraulic and industrial hoses using a crimping sleeve suitable for the specific type and dimensions of the hose being used. Therefore select a sleeve whose diameter and profile match the hose manufacturerâs recommendations and the crimping machine specifications for the hose type; ensure compatibility with the external UNF thread and 74° cone sealing requirements.

Can the AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y be used with stainless-steel crimping sleeves?

Yes. the AGJ hydraulic end, type ZJZ110, carbon steel, Y Format can be used with stainless-steel crimping sleeves provided the sleeve is suitable for the hose type and the crimping process. Key points to ensure compatibility and safe performance: - Sleeve material vs. fitting material: The fitting is carbon steel, galvanized. Stainless-steel sleeves are mechanically compatible for crimping, but dissimilar metals can create galvanic corrosion in certain environments (especially with moisture, salts, or aggressive fluids). Consider sealing, coating, or environmental conditions to mitigate corrosion risk. - Sleeve specification: Use stainless-steel sleeves specifically rated for the hose construction and size. The sleeve must match the hose manufacturerâs recommendations for crimp profile and die settings. - Crimping process: Crimping must follow the hose and sleeve manufacturerâs instructions, using the correct crimp diameter and tooling. Improper crimping can cause leaks or failure regardless of material. - Sealing interface: AGJ fittings seal on a 74° cone. Ensure the sleeve and assembled hose position allow proper engagement of the cone seal and that no sleeve deformation compromises sealing. - Pressure and application: Verify the assembled hose assembly (hose + stainless sleeve + AGJ fitting) meets the systemâs working pressure, temperature, and media compatibility requirements. Stainless sleeves may alter flexibility or fatigue characteristicsâconfirm with hose supplier if needed. - Corrosion and maintenance: For long-term reliability, assess galvanic coupling and consider protective measures (paints, inhibitors) or use compatible materials if the environment is corrosive. In summary: mechanically acceptable if the stainless sleeve is the correct type for the hose and crimped correctly, but check galvanic corrosion risks, sealing integrity with the 74° cone, and confirm rated performance with the hose/sleeve manufacturer.
