Not recommended for food substances containing fats and oils. Suitable for milk and its derivatives (however, hoses with the SO-PVCSTAR-MS index are not suitable for milk and dairy products). Reinforcement with a steel wire spiral embedded in the PVC wall provides good resistance to vacuum and hose collapse. The smooth inner surface reduces flow losses and ensures ease of cleaning. The transparent wall allows for easy visual monitoring of flow. In the absence of direct contact with food (in industry, construction, agriculture), it can be used for light chemicals, water, sludges, and wastewater, and other fluids (without fats, oils, and hydrocarbons). As a non-braided hose, it exhibits some elongation under pressure.
