Is a gasket included with the TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series or must it be ordered separately?

TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series: gasket is NOT included and must be ordered separately. Gasket material should be chosen based on the medium; available options include EPDM, FKM, Gylon® and PTFE.

Can TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series be used with aggressive chemicals and which gasket material is recommended?

TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series can be used with many aggressive chemicals thanks to its PVDF construction (good chemical resistance) and 6 bar working pressure. Gasket choice depends on the specific chemical: use PTFE (Teflon) for strongest chemical resistance and broadest compatibility with aggressive acids, bases and solvents; Gylon® is a good high-performance alternative for aggressive media under pressure/temperature; FKM (Viton) tolerates many oils and some chemicals but is less resistant to strong bases and certain solvents; EPDM is suitable for hot water, steam and some acids but not for hydrocarbons or ketones. Order the gasket separately after verifying chemical compatibility and operating conditions.

What is the maximum operating temperature for the TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series?

The maximum operating temperature for the TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series is determined primarily by the PVDF body and the chosen gasket material. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) typically has a continuous service temperature up to about 140 °C (284 °F). However, the overall allowable operating temperature for the TRI-CLAMP tip assembly will be limited by the gasket selected: - EPDM: typically up to ~120 °C (248 °F) - FKM (Viton): typically up to ~200 °C (392 °F) for short-term use, ~150â180 °C (302â356 °F) for continuous service depending on compound - PTFE (Teflon) or Gylon® (PTFE-based): typically up to ~260 °C (500 °F) (PTFE chemically compatible and high-temperature resistant) Given the PVDF bodyâs limit (~140 °C), the practical maximum operating temperature for the TRI-CLAMP tip with GZ BSP, PVDF, 3C series is approximately 140 °C. For higher-temperature applications, confirm gasket compatibility and consult manufacturer data sheets to ensure safe, long-term operation.
