Is the CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black compatible with other CEJN quick coupling sizes?

The CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black is specifically designed as a blind plug for CEJN quick coupling series 525 and 526 (Nordic Range). It fits those series to protect connections from contamination, damage and ingress of impurities. Because it is tailored to the dimensions and sealing requirements of the 525/526 series, compatibility with other CEJN quick coupling sizes is not guaranteed. Using it on different series may result in poor fit, insufficient protection or potential damage. For reliable protection, use the cap with CEJN series 525 and 526 or consult CEJN product specifications to confirm cross-compatibility.

How do I clean and maintain the CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black to prevent contamination?

To clean and maintain the CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black and prevent contamination: 1. Remove the cap from the coupling and inspect for debris, dirt or damage. 2. Rinse with clean water to remove loose particles. 3. Wipe gently with a soft cloth or brush using mild detergent solution; avoid solvents or abrasives that can attack PVC. 4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove detergent residues. 5. Dry completely with a lint-free cloth or allow to air dry in a clean area. 6. Inspect seals and mating surfaces for wear; replace the cap if cracked, deformed or compromised. 7. Store caps in a clean, dry, dust-free container away from sunlight and chemicals to prevent contamination before use. 8. Perform regular visual checks and clean as needed, especially before connecting to the system.

Can the CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black withstand exposure to oils and solvents?

CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black is made of PVC and is intended to protect quick coupling connections from contamination and ingress of impurities. PVC offers basic chemical resistance to many substances, but its resistance to oils and solvents varies depending on the specific chemical and concentration. The CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black may resist light contact with some oils and mild solvents, but it is not universally resistant to all oils, aggressive solvents, or prolonged exposure. Strong hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, ketones (e.g., acetone), aromatic solvents, and some ester-based solvents can soften, swell, or degrade PVC over time, compromising protection. Recommendation: For environments with regular or prolonged exposure to oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, or aggressive solvents, consider verifying compatibility with the specific chemicals involved or choosing a plug cap made from a more chemically resistant material (e.g., nitrile, fluorocarbon, or other specified elastomers). If only incidental, brief contact with mild oils is expected, the CEJN 525 and 526 PVC quick connector plug cap, black may be adequate.
