The inner layer of the hose is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) of food quality. This material meets high requirements for drinking water regarding the absence of migration of components to the water remaining in the hose and the lack of tendency to form biofilm (microbiological test). At the same time, it meets food contact requirements for liquid food substances and has very high chemical resistance (acids, bases, hydrocarbons, solvents). Therefore, the hose can be used for: 1) drinking water installations (Germany: KTW, DVGW); 2) liquid food substances (water, fruit juices, alcohols, milk and its products, fats and oils); 3) chemicals in a wide range (selection in contact with Tubes International Sp. z o.o.). Thanks to the multi-layer construction of the hose, where the intermediate and outer layers are made of soft polyethylene, the hose is very flexible. For installation, fittings with a spigot ("tail" for the hose) without sharp notches that could cut the inner layer of HDPE upon tightening should be used.
