Stainless steel fittings
Stainless steel fittings – general information
Stainless steel fittings are threaded pipe connectors made of AISI 316 stainless steel (acid resistant steel). The stainless steel pipe connectors are widely used for water, chemicals and foodstuffs, air, steam and gas piping in all industries. They are made by casting or machining. Working pressure 10 bar.
The connectors have BSP female parallel threads, BSPT male taper threads. The tightness of the connection is achieved along the thread (BSP female parallel thread mates with BSPT male taper thread). Thread sealant must be used (PTFE thread seal tape, liquid sealant).

FAQ – Stainless steel fittings
The connectors are commonly used in the chemical industry, metallurgical industry, in piping systems conveying chemically aggressive media, and if there is a risk of corrosion of ordinary carbon steel.
The connectors are designed for a maximum pressure of 10 bar.
To create a secure, leak-tight connection, use PTFE thread seal tape or other sealant, e.g. liquid sealant.
