The hose is made of a smooth, seamless PTFE tube. The Teflon tube of the hose is extruded under strictly defined and controlled conditions, ensuring its highest quality, minimal porosity, and maximum flexibility and elasticity achievable for a smooth PTFE hose. The braid is made of annealed AISI 304 stainless steel wire with a high tensile strength of 1700 N/mm², with a strictly controlled angle of arrangement and tension of the braid wire bundles, resulting in minimal length changes of the hose under high pressure. Due to the unique properties of PTFE (wide operating temperature range, resistance to most substances and chemical compounds, negligible surface adhesion), the SMOOTHBORE hose is perfectly suited for the transfer of chemicals, foodstuffs, fuels, oils, paints, solvents, adhesives, dyes, detergents, steam, etc. - as well as for classic high-pressure hydraulic oil installations. In cases where there is a risk of static electricity (danger of charge generation and accumulation), SMOOTHBORE hoses made of antistatic Teflon should be used – the antistatic version AS. The antistatic Teflon of version AS is black (contains appropriately distributed carbon in PTFE) and has a resistance R <10⁸ Ω (according to ISO 8031 annex A). This ensures the dissipation and dispersion of electric charges. The safety factor is 3:1; if a factor of 4:1 is required (e.g., according to EN 16643), the values should be multiplied by 0.75. At operating temperatures above +130°C, the maximum working pressure specified in the parameters should be reduced by 0.75% for each 1°C above this temperature. For example, at a temperature of 170ºC, the maximum working pressure for the hose AF-SWSB-06 is: 240 bar – (170°C-130°C) x 0.75 = 240 bar – 30% = 168 bar. The value "Wall thickness [mm]" provided in the Technical Data refers to the PTFE layer. Hose material: smooth PTFE (Teflon). Reinforcement: single braid of AISI 304 steel. Working pressure: from 55 bar to 240 bar - depending on the hose diameter. Operating temperature: from -70°C to +260°C.

The unbraided version TO (Tube Only) of the VISIFLON hose, made of high-quality spiral corrugated PTFE (right-handed), provides exceptional flexibility, elasticity, and vibration resistance among Teflon hoses. The VISIFLON TO hose can be used for the transfer of chemicals, foodstuffs, fuels, oils, paints, solvents, adhesives, dyes, and detergents under very low pressure conditions. The standard version of VISIFLON TO is made of natural, translucent PTFE, allowing for visual flow control. The antistatic version VISIFLON TO AS made of carbon-infused Teflon (black) ensures the dissipation and dispersion of electric charges for substances and conditions at risk of static electricity. The hose material meets FDA requirements (21 CFR 177.1550 for VISIFLON TO, 21 CFR 178.3297 for VISIFLON TO AS). It is flame-retardant (UL94 V-0) and has a high oxygen index (LOI). Hose assembly requires straightening the corrugations along the length of the tail of the fitting, performed on special equipment. The fittings can then be installed by crimping with stainless steel ferrules. The working pressure value for the unbraided VISIFLON Teflon hose applies only up to a temperature of 100°C, and in the case of vacuum, up to a temperature of 80°C. Above these temperatures, there is a decrease in working pressure and vacuum. If the hose is to be used above these temperatures, this must be taken into account, and appropriate tests should be conducted under operating conditions. Hose material: spiral corrugated PTFE (Teflon). Operating temperature: from -70°C to +100°C (up to +230°C). Working pressure: from 2 bar to 4 bar - depending on the hose diameter.

At operating temperatures above +130°C, the maximum working pressure specified in the parameters should be reduced by 0.75% for each 1°C above this temperature. For example, at a temperature of 170°C, the maximum working pressure for hose AF-HWSB-06 is: 260 bar – (170°C-130°C) x 0.75 = 260 bar – 30% = 182 bar.

The HYPERLINE FX hose is an optimal solution for industrial applications where high flow rates, chemical and temperature resistance, and permeation resistance are required. It is perfectly suited for the transfer of chemicals, fuels, oils, paints, solvents, adhesives, dyes, gases, and steam, detergents, water, and food substances. At operating temperatures above +130°C, the maximum working pressure specified in the table should be reduced by 1% for each 1°C above this temperature. For example, at a temperature of 170°C, the maximum working pressure for the hose AF-FXAM-10 is: 70 bar – (170°C-160°C) x 1 = 70 bar – 40% = 42 bar. In cases where a substance that is a poor conductor and has potential electrification properties flows through the PTFE hose, the electric charge will accumulate on the inner surface of the PTFE, and to avoid static electricity issues, an antistatic AS variant of PTFE is used. Antistatic Teflon in the AS version contains appropriately distributed graphite in the PTFE and has a resistance R <108 Ω (according to ISO 8031 annex A). Hose material: smooth inside, corrugated outside PTFE (Teflon) - natural white and antistatic - black. Reinforcement: aramid braid. Strong and flexible pressure hose with steel reinforcement for conveying saturated steam. The inner layer has good resistance to high temperatures, saturated steam, and the phenomenon of pop-corning (destruction of the inner layer due to the ingress of steam condensate). It can temporarily withstand superheated steam at a temperature of 230°C and a pressure of 18 bar; prolonged use with superheated steam reduces the hose's lifespan. The outer layer is resistant to temperature, weather conditions, abrasion, and aging. The hose is used in the chemical, petrochemical, and energy industries, as well as in other industrial applications. It is not intended for steam cleaners ("dry steam cleaners"). For steam, use special screw-on fittings designed for steam. To extend the lifespan, the hose should be emptied of steam after use to avoid condensate accumulation. Safety factor: 10:1. Standard length: 60 m. Inner layer: black IIR rubber. Reinforcement: double steel wire braid. Outer layer: red EPDM rubber, micro-perforated. Working pressure: 18 bar. Operating temperature: from -40°C to +210°C.

Hose for paints, varnishes NR SPRAY

    All products | Chemical hoses
High-quality rubber pressure hose manufactured in the USA with an inner layer made of chemically resistant polyamide (nylon). The very smooth inner surface reduces flow losses and ensures ease of cleaning. Reinforcement with synthetic textile braiding provides high pressure resistance and low deformation under pressure. The smooth outer layer made of synthetic rubber is resistant to contact with chemicals and oil (RMA Class B – medium resistance). For hoses with an inner diameter of 1/4" and 3/8", the outer layer is antistatic R<106Ω. The hose is intended for industrial applications, particularly for organic solvents and petrochemical substances. The good resistance of polyamide to many solvents allows the hose to be used in the paint industry for the transfer of paints, varnishes, adhesives, and resins. Chemical resistance and potential static electricity issues must always be considered. In particular, antistatic hoses with diameters of 1/4" and 3/8" are widely used as pressure feed hoses for spray guns in automotive workshops, construction, and industry. Chemical resistance verification: chemical resistance table for PA (preliminary selection), confirmation of resistance and application conditions by Tubes International. Installation: smooth fittings with a spigot ("tail" for the hose) without sharp or high ribs that could cut or damage the inner polyamide layer when tightened should be used. Typical hydraulic fittings can be used. The spigot diameter should be precisely matched to the hose diameter to ensure sealing. Installation depending on working pressure with hose clamps, crimp fittings, or for larger diameters with shell clamps. Typical factory hoses for spray guns often have reusable screw fittings. Inner layer: polyamide (PA), silicone-free. Reinforcement: single textile braid for 1/4" and 3/8", double for 1/2". Outer layer: black synthetic rubber. Working pressure: 52 bar. Operating temperature: from -20°C to +90°C.
